S-day and cat update
Valkyrie is in her first heat. That's my only explanation for the increased talking and visitations from toms at night.

The tom visitation is strange..... she's not an outdoor cat.

Well, Thursday is S-day. That's her appointment to (1) receive her Feline Leukemia booster and (2) get SPAYED. She is 5 months and a week or so old, and the vet said that this was a good time to do it according to her calendar.

I gave her and Blondie a bath tonight. I may have to bathe Blondie again in a few weeks. The water was approaching his color when I was done.

Bathing Valkyrie went better this time. Instead of the sink I filled the tub a few inches deep, put her in my arms and shut the shower enclosure door. Eventually she just stood there cussing at me.

Blondie, on the other hand, mewed piteously like I was shaving him and then sulked under the bed for most of the evening. I brushed him out and then he went back under the bed.. Later, after I finished my paper, he came out and went to the top of the kitty condo and glared at me while I was scratching him. The funny part is that whenever he noticed my husband looking at him the corners of his mouth would turn up into a smile.

Blondie and Val are getting along very well. He is extremely protective of his little sister.
